Its 04.08am and I've just been woken up by a phone call from Studio 41.

It's important which is why I'm writing this message now, so please take a minute to read.

Last night, there was a fault with the cable that supplies the power to the DJ equipment in the main room. Basically, that stuff uses so much power it has it's own supply. So, the disco lights, the cd players, the amplifiers, the speakers etc. This is fine until something goes wrong with that supply. Which is what has happened. Even though Studio 41 are on the case, this isn't something that is going to be fixed immediately, which leaves us with no power to the equipment. Therefore, the main room WILL NOT be open tonight, Saturday 31st January.

The front room will still be open as usual.

I wanted to be upfront and let everyone know that tonight will be a very stripped back version of Girls And boYs. With the main room closed, the club will be full much more quickly. So if you have a distance to travel, you may want to have a rethink and come party with us another time. What I don't want is a long line of disappointed people who can't get in because it's too busy; Or to have someone's birthday plans ruined because it wasn't the night they were expecting.

There was talk of just not opening at all tonight, but Studio 41 are doing the decent thing and keeping the front room open for the people who either don't get this message, or don't care that it'll only be the front part of the club that's open.

It's still "Screw The Diet", the chocolate fountain is still heading our way, the junk food is still stocked and ready to go, and I'm still excited about playing the tunes. However, it won't be the same Girls And boYs as usual.

Studio 41 would like me to pass on their apologies; It's obviously a decision they have dreaded having to make and it's clear to me they are doing everything they can to get this resolved. Also, apologies from me if this has affected your plans for the weekend.

Make way for David Archuleta. He is 17. He is going to be massive. That's pretty much all you need to know. Not a song that's going to get you onto the Dancefloor on Saturday night. But 100% a song you'll be turning up on the radio over the next couple of months. Then turning down on the radio - because that's how often it's likely to get played.

Firstly, I'm not sure how long this video is going to last because it keeps getting taken down.

Daniel Merriweather has been working with Mark Ronson on his new album for quite a while. More recently he did some vocals for the Wiley track "cash in my pocket".

Here is the new single "Change" and it features rapper Wale, a 24 year old from Washington. You may have heard his remix of MIA's "Boyz" or heard "Chillin'" which has just been leaked onto the internet (new single produced by Cool n Dre) so he could also be one to watch in the future. I know he features on the Kid Cudi LP and has been on Ronsons radio show in the past.

All in all - an awesome track. Check it out.....

Tinchy Stryder has been a big name on the grime scene for a while now. Taio Cruz is the guy who had a hit with "Come On Girl" earlier in the year (the song featured Luciana from Bodyrox fame). Taio has also written tonnes of other tunes for popstars, and his album "Departure" is also well worth a listen if you get a chance over the xmas period. So the guys have teamed up on this track "Take Me Back" and it\'s awesome. Scheduled for release on the 19th January, really hope this song gets the attention it deserves by radio/tv in the new year. Have a listen and see what you think.

For some strange reason I picked up French station NRJ which is the French "hits" station, and they were playing this song by Brick & Lace called "Love Is Wicked" It's cool and I wanted to share it with you!  It's been pretty big in Europe; It's got a euro-pop feel to it; And it's also on the Bratz soundtrack (if you know anyone aged eight or under, you'll know what i'm talking about).
